Nocturne Nights x Boogieland presents RAGING BULL

Join us! Step inside a smoky, sweat-soaked boxing gym and be transported to 1940s New York.

For one night only, Boogieland in Amsterdam Noord is transformed into an immersive world inspired by Martin Scorsese’s Raging Bull. Experience this iconic black-and-white film on the big screen, featuring a young Robert De Niro playing Jake LaMotta through the highs and lows of his boxing career. Described by Roger Ebert as "a masterpiece - perhaps the greatest film ever made about men and violence”.

The night begins with Sam Ghezzi & The Roaring Cats, a live eight-piece swing band accompanied by swing dancers performing in the crowd. We'll have live boxing matches by boxers from the Boogieland Boxing Gym, followed by a screening of RAGING BULL. As the film ends, join us on the dance floor for another performance from The Roaring Cats.

This is cinema after dark: immersive, atmospheric, and a shared social experience. Not just a film screening, but a night to inhabit the nocturnal film world.

Dress code (encouraged): Think 1940s-1950s style: tailored suits, vintage dresses - or wear black and white to match the monochrome film.
